![]() One minor complaint is that the coffee there was just crazy expensive, and I like to keep myself caffeinated most of the day, so I had to cut back. In the waterpark, the staff were especially welcoming with my youngest one, and understood when he backed out of one of the slides at the last minute! We enjoyed some time in the games room, played some mini golf (which the boys loved), and were very pleased with flavours available in the ice-cream and coffee shop by the waterpark entrance. At other hotels, staff seem to want to just answer your question and have you move along as quickly as possible, but here they took the time to get to know you a little bit. It had a real feel of a family or a very close team - staff seemed comfortable and relaxed with each other, and at ease when assisting guests. They genuinely seemed pleased to be talking with you. Staff were all excellent, and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, and not in an insincere way. Even so, there were plenty of other places to eat nearby if you wanted to go out, but we really liked the convenience of being able to stay in the hotel. We were also pleasantly surprised that it was nowhere near as expensive as what we'd anticipated. The Great Wolf Lodge at Traverse City was much better than Niagara Falls in this regard. ![]() The meals at the restaurant were outstanding. It was on the same floor as the entry to the waterpark which was ideal. The room, one of the 'suites', was in excellent shape and was completely clean and stocked with everything we needed. At Traverse City the waterpark is smaller, but it still had plenty for our family to do, and our two boys (ages 3 and 7) had a great time over all three days we stayed. This was our second trip to a hotel in the Great Wolf Lodge chain, our first being to the one in Niagara Falls. At other hotels, staff seem to want to just answer your question and have you move along as quickly. ![]() ![]() We got a refund for our stay and will never go back. This was our second trip to a hotel in the Great Wolf Lodge chain, our first being to the one in Niagara Falls. We went home at 3am with 3 crying children and the feeling of disgust. They offered to clean our clothes for us and give us to a different room, but we didn't feel safe anymore so we went home and left the clothes that were on our bodies while we were sleeping on the floor in the room and told the manager to burn them. The manager and security put a bug in a plastic drink cup for "testing" from a specialist. She also lied when a friend who had a night stay coming up called to cancel her reservations after hearing our story. This was our 5th stay at the great wolf lodge and didnt believe the reports until we were the victims. There has been several reports of bed bugs here, but the manager lied about it and said they had never had this issue. ![]() I had my husband, my baby, and myself in the bed sleeping. I killed several and they were full of blood. I woke up at 2:30 am on May 21st 2019 with bed bugs crawling all over our sheets. ![]()
